Sources, categories & coverage

This is a researched starting point, not a complete register. Open, closed and paused programs remain available for planning. Equity investment can require giving up ownership and accelerator support may be non-cash.

This catalogue covers selected Victorian, Australian Government, local council and philanthropic programs. It does not include every council, foundation, corporate grant, scholarship or research call. A category match is a browsing aid, not an eligibility decision. Women can also search Business Growth, Startups and other general categories.

The six main categories are Women, Startups, Personal & Family, Home & Housing, Business Growth and Green Energy. Additional categories also cover Environment & Conservation; Jobs, Skills & Training; Technology & Manufacturing; Export & International Growth; and Emergency & Hardship Support, alongside the original community and specialist categories. Each listing can have more than one category.

This is a 2026 research edition, not a list restricted to applications open during the 2026 calendar year. Closed rounds remain for planning; announced 2027 rounds are labelled Upcoming. The page does not refresh provider information automatically. Amounts exclude any separate loan and never represent the entire program funding pool. Notes explain annual versus total amounts, matching and exceptions where identified.

Coverage still being expanded. The category and support-type menus include areas with no researched listings yet. Council, foundation, corporate, scholarship and specialist research links below are discovery sources, not additional verified awards. Updates are manual; no automatic refresh is scheduled.

To expand coverage, catalogue each local council and specialist funder separately. Keep the provider URL, round dates, grant amount, applicant rules and last-check date on every record. Recheck application status before calling an opportunity “open”.

Frequently asked questions

Is this every grant available in Victoria?

No. It lists 75 selected Victorian Government, Australian Government, local council and philanthropic programs that Victorian applicants can use. Many councils, foundations and corporate funds run their own rounds, so also check vic.gov.au, business.gov.au and your local council.

How up to date is this list?

Every listing was checked against the provider's own page on 20 October 2026. The list is updated by hand, not automatically, so status, dates and amounts can change. Always confirm on the provider's site before you apply.

Does a listing mean I'm eligible?

No. Categories and filters help you browse, but only the program's guidelines decide who can apply and what the grant will pay for. Read the current guidelines in full, and contact the program if anything is unclear.

How can GrantAlly help once I've found a grant?

Upload the program's guidelines and GrantAlly checks each published rule against your project, recommends whether it's worth applying, builds a budget that separates eligible and excluded costs, and drafts answers from your own project details. You review everything and submit the application yourself.
